Where do you deliver?
mylocal5aday.co.uk is was originally founded and based in Muiravonside, between Falkirk and Linlithgow.
We have now expanded and have 2 branches. One in Polmont - covering West Lothian and Falkirk, and a newer office in Newmills, Fife - just outside Dunfermline - covering Fife and Edinburgh.

What am I buying?
mylocal5aday.co.uk is a weekly seasonal fruit and veg box scheme.
If you pick a random box, we will pick the items for you. These will generally be in season and local produce. However, every few weeks we will throw in something different just for a bit more variety.
You can pick your own items - so you know exactly what you are getting and we'll deliver that every week/fortnight.
You can tell us what items you don't like or are allergic to and NEVER want delivered.
Or you can log in once a week to place your own order, picking the items you want when you want them.
You can even just treat us like your regular fruit and veg shop and start with an empty box and buy exactly what you want each week.
When is it delivered?
We will deliver to you on the same day each week - or fortnightly if you prefer. Once you place your 1st order, we'll contact you to tell you what day we deliver in your area and when you can expect your 1st delivery.
See above for the days we deliver to your town. Deliveries are normally between1pm and 9pm
What if I'm not home when you deliver?
When you sign up/place your order, we ask you to you to tell us of a safe place to leave the box if you are out. That can be in the shed/coal bunker/greenhouse/bike store or even with a neighbour. Please leave detailed instructions of where your safe place is so we can find it. It may also be possible to deliver to your place of work.
If you are not likely to be in when we deliver, please leave the bag from your last delivery in the safe place so we can collect it (they are expensive and we like to recycle them to save packaging - plus we charge you a deposit for the bag, so when you return it, we give you that back!)
What do you charge for delivery?
Simply enough, delivery is free for all weekly fruit and veg box orders. However, if your order value is under £4.00 we will charge £1.50 delivery. We suggest you just buy a few more items to take your order up to £4.00 and get the free delivery!
What if I go on holiday?
Again, just let us know - by phoning 01506 846 888 or email sales@mylocal5aday.co.uk or simply log into your account and complete the holiday notification form to let us know when you are on holiday.
Please let us know when you want your last delivery and when you want deliveries to start again - and if you are going somewhere particularly nice!

Can I change my order?
Absolutely. If you want to pick your own items each week, just log in and pick what you want. If you don't log in to pick your own items, you'll get our seasonal weekly selection. You can add items from the shop to your order if you need something not in the box, you can add eggs, meat, bakery and deli items. You can change your box size or switch from weekly to fortnightly deliveries. If you have any problems using the site, give us a quick call or email and we can help you make the required changes.
Please make your changes at least 48 hours before your next delivery is due to guarantee we can process it in time.
Where does the food come from?
We try to source as much as we can from Scottish farmers, producers and markets. However, it's not always possible to get all the produce all year round from local producers. We will also try to give you the same choice you are used to from the local supermarket, so you don't have to go without any of the items you like to have every week. But when a locally produced item is available, that's what we'll go for.
All of our bakery and butchers produce is made daily in Falkirk region.

Why is the BOX actually a BAG?
When you get your 1st delivery, you will notice that the Veg Box is actually a nice jute bag!!! Why? Well, the boxes are ugly and take up space. Your delivery comes in a handy jute bag which once you've taken your produce out of you can use when you go to the shops - cutting down on the need for plastic bags.
All we ask is that you remember to return your bag each week when we deliver your next "box".
Why do you charge a deposit for the bag?
Because we want to get them back! It keeps our costs down, lowering the overall price for you and it helps cut down on packaging and plastic bags, which is better for the environment. When you place an order, you will be charged a deposit for the bag, when we deliver your next order, we'll collect your bag from the previous week and then we'll refund the deposit from your bill. If you aren't going to be in when we deliver, just remember to leave the bag in your safe delivery location and we'll pick it up when we leave your new delivery.
Can I recycle the packaging?
Yes! We try to use as little packaging as possible, but sometimes we need to bag things. Your tatties, mushrooms and other small items may come in a small paper or plastic bag. Simply put all the packaging back into the Mylocal5aday jute bag for us to collect when we drop off your next delivery. We will reuse or recycle all we can.
Payment methods?
Rest assured, we are always happy to take your money!! You can pay securely online. Just log into your account and choose one of the secure payment methods. Alternatively, you can pay with cash or by cheque when we deliver your box. And if none of those methods works for you, just give us a call and we'll process your payment on the phone.
